HOME Program
This tenant-based rental assistance program provides families with short-term rental assistance to aid in the prevention of homelessness. This state-funded program is patterned after HUD's Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program.
The program provides temporary assistance to families and may only be used in a designated county. The county applies for a CHIP grant through the State of Ohio. If funded, the rental assistance for this program normally runs for an 18- to 24-month term.
